About

Beatriz founded HispanAmérica and works with Ampersand to construct innovative approaches to multicultural consumer engagement. She seeks to enable companies in financial services and banking, healthcare and nonprofits develop and sustain consumer, patient, caregiver, influencer, and community relationships. They specialize in engaging Hispanic, Black, Asian, and other underserved communities.

Beatriz is Hispanic and African American in heritage, bilingual in English and Spanish, heavily traveled and global in her cultural outlook. She a collaborative, cross-functional leader with strong business and financial acumen, data analytics, consumer marketing research and insight development skills. She is an experienced brand ambassador, speaker, written and oral communicator and content marketer. Confident, dynamic, mission driven, focused on building a culture of equity and inclusion, ending disparities and growing talent.

Most recently, Beatriz led SensisHealth, the healthcare practice within cross-cultural ad agency Sensis. Her passion and excellence in marketing and communications to underserved patients, families and communities, and dedication to led to her recognition as Healthcare Executive of the Year by Los Angeles Business Journal.

She served as VP of Marketing for Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital in Los Angeles, Director of Multicultural Strategy for Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Systems, Inc., and leadership of a joint venture between HispanAmérica and Omnicom Group, in partnership with their agencies DDB Worldwide and Rapp Worldwide.

Beatriz is a graduate of Cornell University’s College of Engineering. She serves on multiple boards, including Easterseals of Southern CA, Alzheimer’s Los Angeles, and was formerly on the boards of the Neighborhood Trust Federal Credit Union, Alzheimer’s Association Greater PA Chapter, the National Hispanic Health Foundation, and the Marketing Edge Foundation (formerly Direct Marketing Educational Foundation).
