Craighton brings ideas and enterprise to life.
As a design entrepreneur, Craighton specializes in creating vivid “pictures from the future”. He then builds product prototypes and constructs the underlying business systems to launch robust commercial offerings into the market.
Think of him as that rare combination of talents who can put a vision into action—a designer, illustrator, maker, thinker, and doer. In addition to full product design and venture launch, Craighton combines sketching and design-thinking to yield a unique style of illustrated storytelling for clients.
Craighton taught in the industrial design department at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has led his own studio and served as a lead designer for Gravity Tank, now part of Salesforce.
He taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and his designs have been curated into the the permanent collection of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has the remarkable credential as the first designer (ever! seriously) to launch a commercial product on Kickstarter.
