Before Ampersand, Joe served as Partner in the Purpose Practice at Millward Brown Vermeer and Partner at Hitchcock Partners, a brand growth advisory firm.  He guided organizations to articulate their purpose – their underlying reason for existing beyond the profit motive  – and to embed those ideals into the hearts of their employees and customers and into the operation of their enterprises.

Joe merges analytical strengths with creativity and empathy.  He recognizes that great companies align their visions for growth with the ideals of their customers and employees. This alignment must help drive employee engagement and lifetime customer value, as well as investor shareholder value.

Joe holds an MBA in Strategic Planning from Wharton and BA in American Literature from Middleburg College.  He integrates skills from both degrees frequently in his work around purpose, innovation and growth. Joe makes his home in Brooklyn.
